We gladly announce the fifth workshop for judgment and decision making that is taking place at the University of Basel from July 25th to 27th – mark your diaries! Organized by some PhD students, the very first workshop was held at the Max Planck Institute for Research on Collective Goods, Bonn, in 2008. One year later, the second workshop took place at the University of Mannheim, from where it went on to the University of Basel in 2010. In 2011, the workshop once again was held at the MPI. This year, we once again have the pleasure to visit the beautiful city of Basel to present and discuss our research and we would like to invite you to read through the information provided on this website, submit an abstract and sign up for the workshop!
This year’s program will be comprised of oral presentations as well as workshops held by experienced researchers. Hence, we would like to kindly invite you to submit proposals for paper presentations (supposedly 20 min + 10 min discussion) addressing topics in judgment and decision making. Contributions should address current empirical research as well as theoretical or methodological topics in JDM. Beyond that, the JDM workshop provides a nice forum to discuss new research designs and get fruitful, supportive feedback from colleagues. Therefore, we especially encourage the submission of new research ideas.
The deadline for submission of oral presentations is April 2nd 2012. Paper proposals should consist of an abstract that is no longer than 200 words accompanied by up to 5 keywords. In case there are too many submissions, we may turn some of the oral presentations into poster presentations.
The workshop language is English. All proposals and accordingly the presentations have to be prepared in English. Authors of submitted contributions will be notified around May 2nd 2012 of the outcome of the review process.
We ask all participants to register for the workshop until June 1st 2012. Participants should register through this website. A notification will be sent out to our email list when the registration is open.
