Objectives and Expansion
The library sees itself as an important tool for the researchers and primarily serves the information needs of the members of the Institute. As in the Institute, the library is presently undergoing an exciting and dynamic phase of expansion and is growing in tandem with the research projects. Since its foundation in 1998 the library comprises about 40.000 volumes and receives some 280 journals.
Areas covered by the Collection / Specialisations
The library collection reflects our three academic disciplines of law, economics and political science. In addition, the collection contains relevant publications from neighbouring disciplines such as sociology, psychology, and mathematics. There is also an emphasis on the topics covered by the ongoing research projects (among others, rationality, finance and banking, waste, environment, network industries).
Access
The library is a reference library and publications cannot be taken out. While it primarily serves the information needs of the researchers at the Institute, the library is open to researchers from all over the world who visit the Institute.
Collection and Indexing
The book collection is freely accessible to the researchers of the Institute. The shelving is specific to the Institute.
