The library is a reference library. While it primarily serves the information needs of the institutional members, publications cannot be taken out. The library is open to researchers from all over the world who work at or visit the Institute.
External users may get access for a single request (no workplace) if the literature is not available elsewhere. Please contact the library first before your visit: firstname.lastname@example.org
Access to journals? E-only: More and more libraries shift away from print journal subscriptions. This leaves the presenting shelf of new issues in the limelight empty. What happens next? The absence of visible issues ensures that users stay away and the traditional service and this popular meeting place becomes abandoned. JournalTouch is an approach to reinvigorate this bare space as a digital news-shelf.
Using a touch screen: JournalTouch makes access to latest electronic journals engaging and intuitive. Users are able to catch up on recently published articles and send them to their own devices.
JournalTouch is available for institute members only.
JournalTouch is an open source tool, designed to be used as well as expanded by the interested library community.

JournalTouch was awarded the "Zukunftsgestalter in Bibliotheken 2015" prize.
